Looking back: My reflections in the time of Pandemic

Hi to our Readers! I apologize it has been a while since the last blog that I have written. I have been not into writing blogs for the past 4 or 5 years maybe. Well, I have been busy making ends meet, I focused more on my career, and now at the end of the year 2020, I have been reflecting on what have I done meaningful, and is it worth living for the past 4 to 5 years. Well, first of all, I want to share with you guys that I gave birth to my son last January of this year. Yehey for that! And guess what, he is now turning 1 year old next year.  Now, looking back on my almost 5 years of service in the government, made me think if I really deserve all the stress I have been into. Compensation wise, I am grateful my salary is beyond what I had when I first start working, and yet the tasks assigned to me have been piling up like crazy, had lots of things to do, that I am not sure if I really made the right choice and if I am really happy with what I am doing. In my first 2 years, I was ove

Wattpad Review: Island of Fire Series 3

Jonaxx is one of the best writers I've been following on Wattpad and another series of her has captured my curiousity, which later on I have fell in love with - the Island of Fire Series 3. Even though the story is still on progress (Chapter 20 as of December 2016), I guess a lot of Jonaxx's follower has been waiting for every chapter published every week. The story is about a typical brattinela who disgusts a nerdy teenager, but on the later years of her life will be her knight in a shining armor. Typical story yet you can't get enough of their chemistry. Hope you could read more of the story provided with some basic information listed below: Title: Island of Fire Series: Yes (3rd 😄) Author: Jonaxx Language: Filipino Ongoing Story: Yes Lesson that can be learned from the story: Minsan talaga ang Prince Charming mo makikilala mo sa panahong hindi mo iniexpect, aayawan mo siya kasi yubg hinahanap mo ay hindi mo nakikita sa kanya. Pero sa panahong kailangan mo

So Inlove In His Music

Credits to drawingsomeone.com I could clearly remember that the last time I was a fan, crazy fan to be exact of a singer or group of singers was when I was in highschool. I bet you could still remember the time we've gone crazy shouting, humming, waving our hand and crying like there is no tomorrow. Westlife, Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, A1 are some of those boyband I hooked up with. Not to mention Mariah Carey, Celine Dion as the singers in the limelight. Years had passed, I was busy studying, working, eating, sleeping and stressing myself out. But one day, I have watched a Youtube video of a singer named - Ed Sheeran. My perceprtion was - 'okey, wait, what is with this singer'. I mean he undoubtly play good song. Wait, he really did play his original composition? Like, 'what the heck, did he really composed all of it? and arranged those songs? No song revivals?'.  I said to myself - 'wait,.. I need a break. What is with this man?'. I have se

Book Review: Dalawang Bayani ng Bansa

Book title: Dalawang Bayani ng Bansa Author: Rene O. Villanueva Publisher: Adarna House Age Recommendation: 10 years old up Language: Filipino Genre: History Content: 5/5 Illustration: 5/5 Book Analysis: This story covers the life of Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio from birth to grave. It also states the fact or truth about Bonifacio's death that is neglected in almost but not all history books. Although it indirectly state that Bonifacio's death is because of Aguinaldo, it hangs questions on why and what is the truth about his later life. Reconmendation: Not that I am a fanatic of History Books but I recommend this to all the parents out there. Why? I have inferred that we do not have much love for our rich history. If we have, well it doesn't suffice. History is the roots of our society and culture. That is our history. We own it and we have to pass it own to the younger generation.

Lach Pacio (PM Prints)   1 second ago At hanggang ngayon a

The Day I Quit the Job I Haven't Started Yet

Yes, you have heard it right. It was a homebased online English tutorial which I applied for a week ago. As I have undergone the interview and training, I felt happy and at the same time anxious. I also feel bad after my final teaching demonstration with my Chinese student, not because I didn't do well but because she act more superior than I am during class discussion & she evaluates me after (aside from hating Chinese authorities from claiming Spratly and West Philippine sea, NAH! Blame my patriotism with our country). A sign from which I ingnored since it is part of her job and mine, too. So there you go, I had been more anxious since my daughter went to and from my lightning while having a video class. To the point that I got angry at her, spank her to the fullest and blame her for reason I do not know. Least thing I know is that I realize how wrong I am. That it is hard to seperate work from mommy duties if you have a boss and if you are working at home. Then I am f

Lego in her Mind

I am not fund of playing lego, and I do not have a creative mind to construct one. But after watching the Lego Movie, I then had an idea that it takes a rich mind to construct buildings by using lego blocks. And my daughter is NOT an exception. We went to SM Aura and went to Toy Kingdom. She then saw a lego corner, and there she had constructed her first horse. She mentioned that what she have created a horse. I can see a horse, and I hope you could see it, too! (haha). On a serious note, never in my life would I ever encounter my child's creation using Lego, as in n-e-v-e-r, not until now. She told that she have created Tatay Lance's bed. Look how amazing and how sweet she could be! And the castle where her Tatay and the horse would stay. Isn't it amazing? That is how bountiful her ideas are. And to top it all, she ends up crying for she wants to play all day long, and we are dead tired for we have stayed 2 long hours. Have you experienced the s

Teach Your Child To A Healthy Living

I am a mother of two-year old pattotie and I am proud to say that my daughter is healthier than I am. Why? Because her habits are all good. We all know that habit comes from a repetitive action. If we say repetitive, action is done not once, not randomly but every single day. To make this 'healthy living' a reality, we make sure that we also change our habit for we should do what we preach. 1. 'Less softdrinks' campaign. We encourage our daughter to drink more water, and crave less in softdrinks or sodas. It is easy for a child to change habit but a bit difficult for us adults (if I am not wrong). 2. Let her join you into daily activities like jogging or swimming. These activities influences your child to be physically fit and active. 3. Encourage your child and your family to eat more vegetables and fruits. Involve them in choosing fruits or vegetables. My daughter is involve on what fruit she will eat. There you go, teach your child to a healthy livi

5 Reasons Why Wear Salvatos

My blog followers are fully aware that I am really a 'Kuripot' (thrifty) person. I had this slippers - Salvatos - and it is an expensive one. My rough estimation is it cost around 800 - 1,800 php. Now I  had it and you can ask me how I got this expensive slippers for free. Ask me. HOW? Well, I got it as a major prize in one of Belle de Jour's event 'Meet the Dream Chasers' . Good thing about this slippers is that it is (one) lightweight. Second, it is fold-able, so you can bring it anywhere. Third, it has a plastic casing - so after using it whether it is dry or wet - is that you can easily put it inside you bag. Fourth, the surface to which it contacts the sole is not slippery when it got wet/during rainy days. Lastly, this slipper is hard enough to support one's weight. Your heel will not feel pain or will not ache even if you walk for hours. This slippers is a must-buy, must-wear item. Thanks to BDJ! Really lucky to have this slippers! What other
