Getting Her Sleep

Is you baby easily distracted that cannot catch up her sleep? She is three months now and cannot sleep soundly compared to her earlier months. My husband and I thought that she gets awake easily because of the loud noise, but we discover it is because she is curious what that sound is and where it came from. I told my mother-in-law and she taught me something...  Put a pillow at her lap. So that if she distracted/awake, she can feel the pillow and will think that it is you. Make sure you  will do this when you are awake or doing household chores. You now ask me why? Because there will be a tendency that the pillow will be place at your child's face due to her constant kicking, and to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Till then! Hope this article helps!

Suddenly Awake

When we are walking along the street, she fall asleep. Then when she heard the horn of the jeepney, she is suddenly awaken by that sound. At first, we thought that it is because she was frightened or shocked.. but at the later part, we have realized something after this incident.. I am trying to ring the phone and she is falling asleep. To my surprise, she suddenly widen her eyes and looks curious about the sound. I have realized that it is not because she was shocked or frightened, bu it is because she is curious, that she is distracted by the different sounds she is hearing. And yes baby, you're not inside the tummy of Mommy, that's why I want you to expose to different stimuli for you to realize that you are living and breathing on your own now. So let you baby stay nosy, let them learn on their own with your help!  Have a nice day ahead Mommies!

Grasping Ability

I was really happy when I saw her grasp my hand when she was 4-day-old. But compared today that she is now 3-month-old, her grasping skill is more improved than the latter. When we went into a toy shop, I let her hold of a toy and to my amusement she hold it for about 1 minute all on her own. I am a very proud mom because of her advanced skills.  Here is a grasping activity that you can do with your child, as a have read  in baby.about.com: Gather 3 toys, allow her to hold 1 toy in each hand, 1 toy will be left and try to offer it to her. Baby should learn to put down a toy in one of her hands as she try to reach the offered toy. This is to let her learn on how to think ahead and at the same time practice her grasping skills. If she don't know how to do it, don't get frustrated because she will learn it in time. Enjoy Reading!

SM's Breastfeeding Area

I have been breastfeeding my daughter for almost 3 months. No wonder her bones are strong, physically fit, and healthy. My pledge to breastfeed my child really needs commitment and  need to be shameless, regardless of where she cries when she's hungry. Based on my personal experience, it's really hard to breastfeed especially in public places. When we are going at Market! Market!, we are choosing 3rd & 4th floors where benches are located. Until we discover something at a nearby mall... We went at Shoe Mart (SM) Makati yesterday and my 3-month-old daughter needs to be fed. We found the Breastfeeding Area by asking the employees located at 4th floor east area near the Comfort Room. Here it is... And to our surprise... as we open the Breastfeeding Area of Shoe Mart (SM) Makati.... A room with a cozy, sweet aroma - with a couch, diaper changing table, a clean lavatory with soap & hand dryer, small desk and chair. Let's take a peek at the l
