Going back to School

Actually, this is a late post of mine. But not that late, LOL!

I had my first class last Saturday. I was really looking forward for that day. By the way, I enrolled at University of Makati under the course Teacher Certificate Program, and I will talk more about the admission and the tuition fee on my next post.

So last Friday, I arrived home late (around 12AM) because my work ends late LOL! And due to overexcitement that I felt that time, I fell asleep at around 1 in the morning. Thank God my spouse woke me up at around 6 in the morning, cooked rice and even prepared clothes to wear and things to bring; so sweet of him, right?

I was at the gate of the University of Makati when the Guard asked me where I was going and reminded me I should not wear slippers inside the school. My instinct suddenly asked me to made a white lie, told him I was about to visit the School Registrar. The reason why I lied is I don’t want my Certificate of Registration to be seen by the Gate Guard because he might saw my surname, and tell my in-law about the act of my disobedience. Anyway, I have a pair of sandals with me, so I entered the school after changing my footwear. FYI, my mother-in-law is one of their supervisors.

The room written on my COR is HPSB 7. I felt as if I am a fool, I don’t know where my room is, and the feeling was the same, when I had my first year in Our Lady of Fatima University. So going back to HPSB, I have asked a student and told me I should go at the back of the green building. HPSB is a new building for nursing students, and our classroom is on the 7th floor.

I saw a lot of students at the hallway. We we’re not allowed to enter the room without a professor. We waited for hours and my classmates were impatient. Some were saying they will go home, influencing others, but I wasn’t fooled by those old school cutting classes, because at the back of mind, I know I am not in an ordinary course in college.

I met Ara and that is the start of our friendship. Luckily, her boyfriend is part of the Security Force of the school. I even told her my story about the Gate Incident and shared about my In-Law and her position.

Then, we went to the Faculty to ask about our professor and told that they were having their meeting. So we went back to the cafeteria, without following the hearsay that we should be back at 1 in the afternoon.

After having our lunch in the cafeteria, Ara and I decided to stay inside the room, without the profession. (I would like to acknowledge Cristy for asking Manong Guard to open the door for us, and letting us stay there.)

Then, our professor came. Professor Gail Montero. A fierce, elegant woman. One of a kind professor because her method of teaching is different from the others. A Techie-Prof, and a kind person inside and out.

Then, we laughed hard for the whole period. I didn't realize it was already time.

I had fun! I haven't expected that attending Graduate School Classes is fun and exciting. I feel free, I now know I am true to myself. No one is holding me back to pretend who they want me to be.

Food Review: BFF Fries & Coke Float

To tell you honestly, I am skeptic about food. I really love to eat toothsome and palatable food but I made some conditions in eating those food - it should be inexpensive and at the same time the three of us should eat it. I am really frank about these standards of mine for the reason that our family falls to a middle and not-so-poor-but-nearly-poor class (tell you the reasons next time). Then we went to McDonalds to eat something salty and would satisfy our binge eating habit.  Then I suddenly saw a picture of their new meal. (This article is not being paid by McDonalds. I just wrote this to those who want cheap finds.) An ad about their new product - McDonalds' BFF Fries and Float combo. I didn't even hesitate  to order this one because first - we love their coke floats, second - we love eating french fries and third - it only cost 150php good for 3. Not only those reasons but mainly because I want to eat longer than the usual and want to spent more time with th

Go Nuts Donuts: 20php Donut Craze

Honestly speaking, I am not that kind of person who spend a lot of money for food, except if it is worth the price. So here it goes, last time my husband saw a donut stall at Market! Market! and says "Markdown Price for 20php". I was hesitant at first because I am not sure if it worth buying, and 20php is too expensive for a 'Kuripot' (Thrifty) person like me. Since my husband is aware that I am kuripot, he decided to buy it for us so that we can try this Go Nuts 20 pesos donut. Go Nuts 20php Donut Craze Undoubtedly, I taste soooo good. My daughter actually liked it.. Look at the picture below.. My daughter have eaten this all by herself. She now have a happy tummy. She can't help but smile because it really delicious, plus the fact that has a chocolate icing on top. The taste is worth its price.

Giving Birth At Last in Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital

Giving birth is really hard. You can feel the hardship physically, emotionally and spiritually. Not only the pain, but you could also feel fear. Fear of surviving you and your babies' life. November 15, 2011 (11-15-11, 6-9pm) I decided to go to East Rembo Lying-In Center. Since I expected that I will give birth normally, I decided to go there first. I waited the doctor for hours. Until she said I should come back the following day for another Internal Examination. Since I saw greenish discharge from my underwear and feel a hunch that my baby will come out,  I forced my husband to bring me to Ospital ng Makati. November 15, 2011 (11-15-11, 9-12am) We have a Yellow Card that is why we want to go at Ospital ng Makati. Being a Yellow Card holder entitles me not to pay any hospital expenses if it is 10,000php below. If above 10,000php, I will only pay 300php. I filled up a lot of forms, waited for the OB, had my ultrasound (for the -Nth time). Sadly, their Deliv
